Lauren Ricca (she/her/hers) is the Development Director, Fundraising Programs, working on the Shatterproof Walk in both the NYC and DC locations. Before joining Shatterproof, she worked in several nonprofits, most recently as the Manager, Special Events in a statewide nonprofit in NJ, her home state. Lauren is extremely enthusiastic about fundraising and development, not only from the career aspect, but also as a personal contributor to a wide variety of causes, in roles such as volunteer, donor, advisor, and board member in local, state, and national nonprofits.

Lauren is passionate about the Shatterproof mission and ending the stigma around addiction. She aims to be a compassionate leader and listener to Shatterproof Walk participants as they become a part of a community that changes lives.

She received her B.A. from Douglass College, at Rutgers, The State University of NJ in both Journalism/Media Studies and Sociology. Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends, traveling, being outdoors, attending Broadway shows and live concerts, and cooking with her partner, Glenn.
