Anthony Rutledge is the CEO of HEI Hotels & Resorts. He is responsible for all aspects of HEI, including corporate strategy, capital formation, investor relations and the firm's overall investment and property management.
Prior to joining HEI, Mr. Rutledge was a senior associate with the law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher and Flom, LLP, in its New York office.
He has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate and corporate transactions, garnered during his tenure at Skadden where he represented the interests of developers, REITS, private equity funds, and lending institutions in connection with domestic and international hospitality, residential, office, shopping center and retail investments.
He is credited with structuring and closing over $5 billion in real estate investments, over $4 billion of which was hospitality related. His experience also includes hospitality finance, including mortgage, mezzanine, preferred equity, participation, and structured financing arrangements. Mr. Rutledge received his J.D. from New York Law School and his B.S. from Fordham University.
