Patricia Villasenor acts as Director of State Engagement, California for Shatterproof's ATLAS® team. In this role, Patty manages stakeholder engagement within California related to implementing Shatterproof’s ATLAS quality measurement system for addiction treatment programs.
Prior to joining Shatterproof, Patty spent sixteen years with the City of Los Angeles as Director of the Commissions and Community Engagement and Executive Director of the Human Relations Commission. Patty has served on numerous panels as a subject matter expert on diversity and inclusion, community outreach and engagement and conflict management. Additionally, she has developed multiple workshops and training on cultural competency, Engagement with Diverse Communities, and financial empowerment.
Patty also created the Economic Equity Promotora/Community Economic Health worker model which serves to effectively disseminate information, and acts as the bridge between people and financial service providers, social service agencies and relative nonprofits. Economic Equity Promotoras also work to meet the needs of historically marginalized people (Black, Latino, immigrant low-income communities and women in particular).
Patty graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Southern California where she studied Cultural Anthropology and Environmental Studies. She is certified in conflict mitigation, financial literacy, and facilitation.
