Patrick J Primevara

Son, brother, Giant Heary

What Patrick was like

Rambunctious, curious, and impulsive as a young boy with ADHD and a learning disability. He wanted to be a weatherman. I had to read the same children’s weather books. He got excited when we were expecting a big storm. He was 32 and excited still.

Fondest memories of Patrick

On my 58th birthday, he bought 2 tickets to go horseback riding. It was the first time (for either of my boys) that Patrick actually thought about me and my passion for riding. As a teenager, I had a horse and entered horse competitions (dressage, jumping). It was like WOW. You actually listened when I talked about it being the happiest days in my life. He was so proud of himself, as was I. Unfortunately, he died 6 weeks later, and we never got to go.💔💔

How Patrick will be missed

His kind heart and need for positive comments. Watching his softball games, the Bruins we watched together, and his new hobby of making maple syrup from our maple tree. That smile after he caught a big fish while ice fishing. At 32, he would run outside to watch a lightning storm or tell us about a blizzard that was heading towards us. And we shared our love for all animals.

How Patrick will be remembered

Patrick would want people to know he was more than the labels others used. He would want people to know his love for baseball, the Boston Bruins, ice fishing, and all animals. He would bring strays home to care for them. He loved being with family and his 2 best friends. He wore his heart on his sleeve, but he would never open up. Patrick would want his family and others to understand that he carried deep pain and often saw himself through a harsh lens, believing something was wrong with him. He suffered so much mental pain, especially after the loss of five friends.
