Catherine LaMendola serves as Director, Fundraising Programs for Shatterproof, where she started as Development Coordinator in 2022. She manages Walks and other fundraiser engagement events and is lucky to work closely with a grassroots network of supporters who are committed to Shatterproof's mission.

After beginning her nonprofit career in arts and culture, Catherine began working in Development at a social services nonprofit empowering neighborhoods on the far north side of Chicago. She enjoys connecting with folks from all walks of life and aspires to help others make a positive impact on their communities. Catherine believes in meeting everyone with compassion, equitable access to care, and connection, regardless of where they are in their journey with substance use disorder.

Born and raised in Texas, Catherine pursued her studies in Montreal and Chicago and is now primarily based in San Juan- though she considers herself always a Midwesterner at heart. She enjoys running half marathons, trying out new recipes, and spending time with her partner and their very large cat.
