Alexa Sparkman

Alexa Sparkman serves as the Grassroots Community Engagement Manager at Shatterproof, supporting the organization's growing volunteer group and matching members of the grassroots community to meaningful opportunities that support Shatterproof priorities. Alexa graduated with a B.S. from UNC Greensboro and brings teaching and outreach experience to the organization. 

She most recently served as Manager of Volunteer Programs at Pawmetto Lifeline, a 501c3 nonprofit no-kill rescue serving the Midlands region of South Carolina. Alexa is in recovery herself and is grateful to be a part of the Shatterproof family, committed to listening to people's stories, connecting with individuals passionate about the cause, and educating the public. 

Alexa enjoys travel, arts and crafts, kayaking, and reading with her 3-year-old son. She is also a major pit bull advocate and aims to reduce the stigma surrounding them. She resides in Columbia, South Carolina.
