Anne De Santis Lopez is Shatterproof's Director of Family Programs. Her personal and professional goals and mission is to continue the work she began over 20 years ago to empower families and individuals living with addiction and a mental health diagnosis through education and support, while connecting them to essential resources to aid in recovery and healing.
She has a Master of Arts in Counseling and Advanced Counseling Certificate from Montclair State University. State certifications include: New Jersey State Substance Awareness Coordinator (SAC), New Jersey State Disaster Response Crisis Counselor (DRCC), and Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS). Her national certifications include Grief Recovery Specialist, and Mental Health First Aid and Trainer.
Before coming to Shatterproof, Anne was the Director of Community Education and Outreach with the Mental Health Association in New Jersey. Anne was a key leader in developing and launching NJ Connect for Recovery Family Workshops. A model built on an evidence based framework and a statewide initiative to educate family and friends of someone living with addiction. The educational series provides the necessary information and introduction of new tools and strategies for family members in recovery, self-care and support.
Anne lives in Matawan NJ with her husband and son, and when she is not working you can find her somewhere outdoors or near the ocean.
Anne is a dedicated person in long term recovery and her life mantra is: “Recovery is possible, for anyone who wants it!”
