The Fundraising Coordinator will provide support to the Vice President of Development, (and development team in general) in managing and implementing a comprehensive development program, in local markets and nationally. This position focuses on administration, researching, monitoring, and supporting strategies for fundraising by working independently and collaboratively on complex and highly detailed projects and events. This position reports to Vice President of a year.


Fundraising support

  • Coordinates, maintains and tracks fundraising related activity
  • Works with finance to make sure donations are processed in a timely manner and coded to proper accounts.
  • Generates gift email notifications and acknowledgement correspondence
  • Develops and circulates financial reports on progress for walk events to senior leadership (e.g. the daily report)
  • Creates and maintains prospect lists, pipelines and other relationship management and event tracking and planning documents
  • Coordinates and executes mailings and communications on behalf of the development team

Administrative support (LA-based Chief Development Officer & Vice President)

  • Supports executive fundraising leadership by drafting correspondence, presentations and financial reports
  • Manages calendar, scheduling and travel arrangements for meetings and events
  • Handles expense reports and reimbursements

Directors of Development support

  • Provide key support for the lead Director responsible for the team’s fundraising priorities, including events, project management, logistics, lists and correspondence

Event, Marketing and Merchandise support

  • Orders and ships printed material and promo items to Directors of Development and the communities they support
  • Project management support on asset production to aid fundraising efforts
  • Tech support for Rallybound such as setting up team pages, creating discount codes, and troubleshooting donation issues
  • Helps source and order marketing, promotional, and merchandise items for all Shatterproof teams
  • Works with Boundless to facilitate technological and warehouse solutions for projects involving storefronts and drop shipment
  • Attends and staffs events including Rise Up Against Addiction 5K Walk/Run national series


  • Works collaboratively with Event Coordinator, and serves as secondary support, for all responsibilities, including sponsorship activation
  • Serves as back-up support for the 800# and support email on behalf of organization
  • Performs other duties as assigned by Vice President of Development

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • An unparalleled commitment to raising awareness for drug and alcohol addiction in America
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in administrative, coordinator or customer service role
  • Ability to organize time effectively and manage a large number of tasks simultaneously
  • Initiative and independence, combined with the ability to work well as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact professionally with variety of constituencies
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong project manager with discipline and follow-through
  • Competency in computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet applications

This position will be based in NY and work out of NY office. Travel will be required several times a year.
