The National Addiction Memorial honors the loved ones we’ve lost.

An uncommonly funny, smart, curious, sensitive, kind, active, generous, loving, handsome, quick witted man who made a permanent mark on all those that knew him, and especially on the many fortunate enough to love and be loved by him.

His hugs and his laugh. He'd never be the first to 'break' from a hug. His eyes sparkled with a happy and mischievous knowing.

His hugs, talking about life, philosophy, and music. I'll miss the fits of hysterical, breathless laughter. I'll miss the man, and husband and father that he never got a chance to become.

As a remarkable soul who truly embodied all the best of what a person might be. My son, my boy, my love.

He was a shining star that brought light and joy through many people’s eyes he warmed a room life of party loved his wife and 3 children was a caring generous man who would give you the shirt off his back and always lend a hand

The times we would hike together just him and I so happy for those sweet times he was a beautiful boy and a helping hand

She was the most down to earth, non judgemental soul. She told it like it was and would give the shirt off her back if she had it.

She knew me better than anyone else and I could always confide in her and she would always give me a real answer not just one I wanted to hear

Allison enjoyed life and being with her friends and family. Music was her heart and soul. She would be so mad that her life was cut short.

The first time Allison got out of treatment I took her to Epcot. We had the most amazing day. Everything was perfect. She was so happy to be sober and was humble and grateful for life. #AllisonsDad

Her laugh at a gathering. I could always hear her in a crowded room.

As a person that loves life and was a friend to others. So many people considered her their best friend.

A sweet, loving, kind hearted, talented young man who was so much more than his addiction.

Our dad was a great person. He love to build trucks, go drive up on the mountains. Always had to BBQ. He was life of the party. But wish he could always be around for us but it was hard due to addiction. We loved him no matter what.

When me and my dad went up towards the mountains to ride go-karts in the snow. Or when we used to run as a family after school. Our parents used to race each other.

His deep conversations. His advice. I wish I had more time with him. To let him see my kids grow up. To see all I accomplished since he's been gone.

He said to never be like him. To always be better than him. So everything I do I always push myself to be the best.

Rach was my ride or die, my person, I had her young so we kinda grew up together, she was smart, funny, intense at times and a world class drama queen.

We were at the beach where we lived, she was about 7 months pregnant with her daughter. Sh was eating lunch while my grandson and I played in the water, when I looked over at her, I watched a sea gull dive bomb her and steal her chip right out of her hand, I never seen a pregnant woman jump up and run so fast.

Everything

She never mentioned that

You could feel his hugs all the way to your heart. His smile lit up a room, and his laughter was contagious. His love was unconditional and knew no boundaries. I'm lucky to have known him as his sister.

Raven had a light like no other. Her laugh was contagious, she was spunky and loved music. She was beautiful inside and out!

Her teasing her little brother with wrapping up Mac n cheese for his Xmas present and boy am I thankful I have that video!

She saved 5 people through organ donation

She had a kind soul loving heart sweet smile.

The day I adopted her she was 9 years old

Her calling me momma. And always calling me in my birthday no matter wer she was

Strong fighting and never gave up

My last year of my life was so difficult as I struggled with a mental health condition. I was only trying to feel better. I didn’t know the cocaine I took was laced with fentanyl. I didn’t want to die, I was only 18 and had my whole life to live.

I miss Owen’s hugs. They were the absolute best!

The most beautiful, smart, fearless person in my life. She taught me unconditional love. She was a walking heart. She is my hero.

When she took a coconut into the pool to play with and they had to shut the pool down for the day. It was so innocent and she still found a way to get into trouble.

Her laughter, her voice, her love. Her courage and determination to be heard and loved.

As an inspiration to raise awareness.

In my eyes, my son I miss so much. Anywhere I went I was always told how kind and always willing to help someone. He was a great kid, just made a bad choice on 8.10.20. He relapsed after 14 years. Leaving behind a wife and 3 great kids.

I have so many. But, I remember how he took care of my Dad when he was dieing ..... My son was also so compassionate to who ever needed help. He was there

I miss his calls he made to me daily. Whenever I needed him, he was here. I miss his hugs and I love yous.

I think he'd like to remember, being a great Dad to his 3 beautiful kids. How helpful and always ready to lend a helping hand.
