Katie Hood is a consultant to philanthropists, nonprofits and companies looking to achieve positive impact in the world.
Prior to working as a consultant, Katie served as the CEO of the The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, a nonprofit dedicated to accelerating new therapies for Parkinson’s Disease, and the One Love Foundation, an organization committed to educating young people about relationship health as a way to prevent relationship violence and as an important ingredient to ultimately leading safe and happy lives. Her 2019 TED talk “The Difference between Healthy and Unhealthy Love,” given while she was the CEO of One Love has nearly 15 million views.
In addition to her nonprofit experience, Katie has worked as a financial analyst for Goldman Sachs, a consultant for Bain & Co., and as a Visiting Lecturer at the Sanford School of Public Policy at Duke University where she taught a class called “Women as Leaders”.
Katie received her BA in Public Policy from Duke University, and MBA from Harvard Business School. In 2021, Washington College awarded her with an honorary doctorate in Public Service in recognition of her professional impact.
Katie lives in Bronxville, NY with her husband and four children.
