Sixth annual event honors those lost, celebrates recovery, and calls for compass
Hundreds will gather at The Sound (3111 Olympus Blvd, Dallas, TX 75019) for the Shatterproof Walk to End Addiction Stigma, a national event that brings families, friends, and advocates together to honor loved ones, celebrate recovery, and demand a stronger, more compassionate response to addiction.
This year’s Dallas Walk proudly welcomes Morgan Stanley as a local sponsor, reflecting the firm’s ongoing commitment to supporting mental health and well-being initiatives in the communities where its employees live and work.
The partnership between Morgan Stanley and Shatterproof is deeply personal. Scott Davis, a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, was introduced to Shatterproof’s founder, Gary Mendell, after losing his son, Zach, in 2016. Since then, the Davis family has participated in the Dallas Walk every year, inspiring others through their advocacy and leadership. With Morgan Stanley’s continued support, Scott and his family have raised and donated nearly $200,000 to Shatterproof’s mission.

Organized by the national nonprofit Shatterproof and supported by local companies, volunteers, and community leaders, the Walk is part of a six-city series that mobilized more than 5,000 participants in 2024 and raised over $1.5 million to transform how addiction is treated and understood nationwide.
