Daughter Lost

Tell us about your (or your loved one's) recovery journey. What has been the most rewarding part?

My daughter Sarah has had the longest sobriety period of eight months recently, only to go back again. Sixteen years in the throes of addiction is not a quick fix.
As of today, I believe she is in yet another hospital detox. She said she wants to go back to the halfway house that helped her get to those eight months. We all felt hope for the first time in a very long time.
I am still waiting to hear from her.
Always waiting, always hoping, always praying.
The most rewarding was when she had those months of sobriety. Rewarding to see her smiling again for that time. To see her health coming back.
I hope to see that again soon and have it last forever and ever. Not to have a lost daughter any longer.
To have her back enjoying the simple things.
