I started smoking marijuana which could soothe my anxious feelings in college, then started snorting coke when doing the sound for a talented San Rafael band because more and more energy was necessary to haul the equipment, then drive throughout California. At least we decided that we could no longer buy coke or alcohol. So I finally stopped.
Always figure out what destroys your body and brain, then your heart, soul and mind. We're spiritual beings that can easily be hurt. Consider what your Mom and Dad have been telling you to solve your daily conflicts. Eat the healthy diets, not the junk food. Share tender-loving care with children, and then not punish them because they will flourish more when you explain how they must correct their mistakes. Because we must work together with insight from our dreams and visions to save our world.
I managed the sound for a talented band. We traveled all over California, Oregon and Nevada. We enjoyed the bars where college students would swarm inside to drink, share coke and dance with frenzy in the 70s and 80s. In a Chico bar, we finished exciting the sweaty Groupies who desperately glanced for a favor of beer from the boys. Behind me, a bearded Old Man tapped my shoulder, and asked what I was going to enjoy in the Green Room tonight. I grinned, because the Groupies could care less about me, but I would certainly like the coke left there. He shook his head, and asked how old was he? He looked like Gandalf, so I guessed he was 80. He laughed, and told me he was 40. All because of the coke. He promised that he could buy a better choice for energy from his friend at the bar. I wasn't confident about what he was explaining until we received our cups of dark roast coffee. I've been drinking coffee ever since, and feel like 40.
