My son has struggled with addiction for a long time and is currently incarcerated. He just turned 30 and has spent most of his young adult years in and out of prison. But as his mother, I know who he is. He is a beautiful boy. He blessed me with a grandson who is very much like him and trying to break this cycle of addiction. My thoughts and prayers are with all mothers today who have beautiful children with the disease of addiction. No matter what society says or does not understand, your child is not a bad person and will always be beautiful and your love is what they need.
