Tell us about your (or your loved one's) recovery journey. What has been the most rewarding part?

I got on drugs in March 97. I did any and everything to get high. December 97, I was at the back gates of Tutwiler Prison. I have been back 4 times. After failing many times, I finally surrendered to a program on September 17, 2010. I know first hand how it feels to want to stop and can't. today I work for Steps and Tradition for Veterans and Aletheia House for Women. I work 16 hours a day, helping other addicts, trying to find a better way to live. I went back to school full time. I try to stay busy. I ran hard for my drugs so I run hard for my recovery. I went from park bench to Park Ave. Today I am proud to say, GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME.
