Addiction touched my life in a very unhealthy way.

Just thank you 😊 so very much for letting me share my story!! Antoinette M. Johnson.

When I first started using drugs I was 14 years of age! My parents got high, my sister got high, all of my sister's friends got high! So here's my addiction story. I was just a kid like I said when I first started using drugs. My first drug was marijuana, my sister and our childhood friend held me down on my mothers bed and blew smoke into my mouth! So needless to say I got pretty stoned. I instantly liked the way it made me feel! So then I just started smoking it myself. As I got older like in my late 20s I decided to also try cocaine for the first time. I was with this guy who was a coke dealer so needless to say I was hooked on that, I snorted cocaine for about 6 years with this man, my first love. I loved that man with all my heart and soul!! He cheated and went to jail. I stuck by him after all the crap he put me through! I was young stupid and in love. But anyway I got older and decided to try crack cocaine! That drug right there 100% absolutely ruined my life!! It took my mother from me. Crack brought me to places I never would have thought possible in my entire life!!! I smoked that drug for about 13 years. I started going to narcotics anonymous and that wonderful program saved my life!! Well before NA, I went to pills, taking percocet, morphine every day for five years. Then I hit NA. They all saved my life including my wife. My wife truly saved my life, literally. I had overdosed on her while we lived in Florida. Thank god she's a nurse. Or I would not be here writing this story today!!! Now my life at 51 is absolutely amazing πŸ˜‰ I now have 15 years clean and I'm truly grateful for my life today!! Thanks for letting me share a little bit of my story! God bless!
