Vanessa Jimenez Matlock

Breathe of life

On January 4, 2019 the world was robbed of a beautiful soul. Vanessa was a second grade teacher, a wife, a daughter, and a sister. She was a giver. A bright place in a dark World. The broken were drawn to her comfort. The sick craved her healing nature. The sad craved her smile. She was an aunt to a little girl who desperately needed her. And she was an addict.
In a series of circumstances, intoxication being the key component, she got on the freeway going the wrong direction at 330 a.m. At 339 she was pronounced dead. At that moment the universe changed. We will never be the same.
