What Maria was like
Maria harbored a strong desire to contribute and ameliorate this occasionally harsh world. She was a strong ally and supporter of marginalized communities. Years prior, she penned a letter to Betsy DeVos, the United States Secretary of Education, advocating for an increase in funding within public educational systems. Furthermore, she openly voiced her opposition to specific policies. In response to the injustices, she wrote a letter to the Maricopa County Superior Court Judge and other state leaders. In addition to her courage, my daughter was most kind.
