My father suffered with mental health issues for so many years and found that self-medication was his only way to be soothed. He loved his children and wife so passionately. The years that he was sober he worked so hard to provide and give us everything he could possibly give us. After his last relapse, his body couldn’t take it anymore. He was only 47 years young and it was a devastating time for our family to see him go but I believe in my heart he is in a much healthier and peaceful place, where he is watching over us like he always did when he was here.
