Nick was a generous, loving, and talented person. He became a type 1 diabetic at the age of 10 and struggled to feel whole for the rest of his life. Nick relied on drugs to ease his anxiety and depression. He successfully rehabbed and stayed drug free for 6 years until relapsing and dying from diabetic ketoacidosis due to his substance use.
