Robert John Scott II

Age 36
Brother, Uncle, & Son
Age 36
36

Robert was incredibly smart. He was Magnetic. He had a great sense of humor, He was third in line of us siblings. He was loved so much.

My favorite memories are memories of when we were children. He was vibrant, and the star of the show.

I will miss his seeing him hustle. He loved making money. It motivated him.

He would like to be remembered as someone that tried the best he could. He clearly lost his battle, but he wouldn’t want to go down without people knowing he gave it what he had. His addiction was just too strong.

Matthew was an incredibly easy baby. He was quiet, loving and sweet. He had beautiful eyes.

Our family trips to Cape Cod.

I miss how he would do funny accents and make us laugh.

As an athletic, smart, funny young man.

Amanda Marcouiller

Age 37
Beautiful Daughter
Age 37
37

Amanda was born with genetics that set her up to struggle with addiction. Her genetics included alcoholism, depression, anxiety, and gambling.

She was using heroin, and found out she was pregnant. Without hesitation, she asked us to adopt the baby. Faith is now 7 years old and the spitting image of Amanda.

Her bubbly personality!

Amanda would like to be remembered as being a fun, happy person.

Nick was my baby, my sweet boy. He struggled with mental illness and substance abuse disorder nearly all of his short life. He was a talented musician and a kind soul. I miss him terribly.

Ryk VanRavenswaay

Age 28
Son, Brother, Grandson, and Friend to all who met him
Age 28

He was the kind of person that truly brought the best out in people. He was so loved by all who knew him and he loved back.

Every day spent with him. The way smiled and laughed was infectious... and mischievous.

Everything. Every single thing we miss about him.

For those of us lucky to have known him or even it was just a brief interaction, he is always popping up in ways we recognize. It's saddening to think of those who missed out on meeting this spectacular human being.

I remember my mom as a fun light-hearted person. She never said anything bad about anyone. I miss her laugh the most. And this goofy face she would make when she was grabbing extra cookies from the kitchen as she scurried back to her room to watch tv

Easy! There was this song she loves by Whitney Houston that she sang about the love she had for her daughter. She would grab me and make me dance with her in the bathroom as she obnoxiously sang it. I resisted but she would hug me tighter. And I loved her so much for it. I played this song for her at my wedding. It's our song.

The small things. Being able to call her when something bad or good happened. Her long drawn out voice-mails. How she would call me "mama".

As the free spirit she always was! She lived by no rules. She did what she wanted. And I hope to be half the mother she was to me.

Matthew Joseph Verrier

Age 24
First born son
Age 24
24

He was a very loved young man who tried hard but life for him wasn’t easy. Of course for people who suffer with addiction it never is easy!

My favorite memories are of our yearly trips to Beaches Turks and Caicos, his graduation from high school then auto mechanic school, his first day of climbing cell towers and how happy and proud of himself he was after climbing 300 feet in the air despite anxiety. The times fishing in Minnesota with his brother and aunt and family. The times he’d come to show me something funny on tik tok!

I miss everything about him, the easy times and even the struggles/challenges he provided. He kept life interesting

He d like to be remembered as a happy, successful in overcoming so many challenges young man!

Age 24

Through my eyes my son was the most beautiful boy/man that walked the earth. He dreamt big, he wanted to be a professional football player. He loved dressing to the t, fast cars, and beautiful women. He hated his disease and wanted nothing more than to live a “normal” life. He was loved by everyone and is forever in our hearts.

One of my most favorite memories of my son is when his father and I surprised him with his first car. He was so happy.

I miss his laugh. I miss having to wait a long time to use the bathroom because he would spend a long time showering and looking at himself in the mirror. But most of all I miss the love that he and I shared.

As a fun, crazy, loving person that wanted nothing more than to make a lot of money, have fun, be happy, healthy, and loved.

Robin was the best daughter, she was kind, generous, lovable. Her and her brother were best friends. Robin was the best Auntie any little girl could for. She was a confidant to her sister in law.

The way we laughed . I never laugh as hard as with my daughter

Angel was my oldest daughter, fun loving, energetic, hard worker and a giving person.

In the spring of 2021 we spent a week together in Las Vegas. We had a great time re-connecting.

Our phone conversations, short but very colorful and her texting me every couple of weeks.

Angel was a beautiful woman, mother, grandmother and friend to everyone. She loved life and lived it to the fullest.

Lisa Ann Tarr

Age 25
Daughter, sweet, kind, loved, missed
Age 25
25

She had a beautiful smile. I’ll remember her intelligence & sense of humor. Her compassion and love for her family and friends. Her passion for music. As a proficient writer, talented athlete & musician. Well-mannered and polite. Loved animals.

Lisa and I went on a vacation in 2017 to Asheville NC during our favorite season, autumn. We drove down the Blue Ridge Parkway to enjoy the foliage, and spent a wonderful week exploring western NC. I will always cherish the memories from that week.

Where to start? Her kind heart & sense of humor are at the top of the list. Listening to her play the guitar & sing - wish I did more of that. Just talking to her, hearing her voice, her laugh.

As a musician, an athlete & a friend. Lisa loved being a drummer in a band. She was also actively involved in sports before addiction took over her life. And she was an exceptional, caring friend.
