His humor was unmatched, and whether he admitted it or not, he was a compassionate and caring friend. He loved music and loved people.
His senior year of high school he held a recital to fulfill the requirements for a music certificate. One of his costumes included a top hat and cape, and he enlisted one of his friends to tell jokes during the intermission. The following year, the instructors changed the recital handbook to ask students observe a sense of professionalism, i.e. don't hire someone to tell jokes during the intermission. He was endlessly proud of having a rule made because of him.
I miss his laid back attitude and the quiet support he offered when others were unsure of what to do. I miss his passion and temper when he talked about political change. I miss his nerdy, endearing devotion to Doctor Who. I miss the way he loved his little cousins and how happy they made each other when they played together.
Caleb would like to be remembered as someone who brought people together through humor and hard work. He quietly loved being someone others could rely on. He'd like to be remembered as a capable sound technician whose job was only, "pushy things, slidey things, and twisty things."
